Captain Jacob W. Singleton

Captain Jacob Singleton is currently an exchange officer for UK Space Research & Development at the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl) for the UK
Ministry of Defence (MoD). Capt Singleton currently serves as the Space Innovation Lead for Dstl's Space Group within the cyber and information systems division where he focuses on new innovative platforms to accelerate commercial solutions for defense technology needs. As a liaison to the USAF AFWERX program, he seeks to foster engagement across industry and international partners to support transformative opportunities for defense acquisitions. Capt Singleton comes from the Air Force Research Laboratory Space Vehicles Directorate where he built the Air Force Space Accelerator Program. At the Space Vehicles Directorate, he also served as a Space Systems Engineer in the Guidance, Navigation, and Controls program and as a program manager for AFRL's Center for Rapid Innovation where he led a portfolio of programs responding to urgent operational needs within Air Force Space Command, Air Force Global Strike Command, Air Mobility Command, and Air Force
Special Operations Command. Capt Singleton is a Utah native, and graduate of Utah State University, where he received his commission as a Distinguished Graduate from AFROTC, Detachment
860. Upon commissioning, Capt Singleton entered active duty at Wright Patterson AFB, where he received a Master of Science in Astronautical Engineering at the Air Force Institute of Technology. He currently serves as an exchange officer at the Ministry of Defence, Defence Science and Technology Laboratory.

In 2014 he received his Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering at Utah State University, UT. Then in 2016 he received his Master of Science degree in astronautical engineering, Air Force Institute of Technology, WPAFB, OH.
