About Dr. Ran
Dr. Ran Hongjuan earned her Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology and her Ph.D. in Thermal Engineering from Tsinghua University. She has worked at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne, Cambridge University in the United Kingdom. Shanghai Jiao Tong University in China, and various enterprises. Her research has evolved from studying unsteady flow phenomena and cavitation in storage power stations in addressing leakage and crack issues in critical equipment within the nuclear power sector.
The Problems with Fluid Dynamics and Heat Transfer
This report includes the fluid dynamics problems in the turbo-machinery and some heat transfer problems in the nuclear power plants:
- The unsteady flow problem and tip leakage cavitation problem, crack problems in rotating machinery.
- Leakage low problems in reactor coolant pumps of traditional nuclear power plants.
- Thermal hydraulic flow problems in the nuclear power station and storage power station.
- And Blade optimization for the unsteady flow problem (such as rotating stall) in general turbo-machinery, such as pumps, and turbines in the renewable energy field.
